The best walking shoes for seniors

For people who walk frequently, choosing the right walking shoe is super important to prevent your feet from aching and developing or worsening painful foot conditions. But wearing the proper supportive footwear is especially essential for older adults, said Dr. Chanel J. Perkins, a board-certified podiatrist based in Texas.“Supportive shoes help maintain balance and alignment, which are necessities in this population since they are at a greater fall risk,” she told HuffPost. “They also help decrease pedal muscle fatigue and overall soreness since biomechanics forces are evenly distributed throughout the shoe.”

Here’s what it’s like to retire on almost nothing but Social Security

Malcolm said that tenants should make lifestyle sacrifices instead of complaining 'all the time' about rent.  The homeowner said he felt 'sorry for the lady' but suggested renters stop eating out, buying takeaway, going on holidays and even give up their pets if they want their own home.  The comment struck a chord among struggling Aussies with rents rising drastically as the availability of accommodation around the country becomes scarce.

It’s taking a lot of will and determination that I didn’t know I had.

Gaining weight isn’t something that anyone chooses to do. That pesky weight sneaks onto your body, pound by pound. At first, you may not notice its arrival because it’s easy to ignore. That’s what I did. I thought I could carry a bit of extra weight because I was thin and I was tall. When I did notice it, I thought I could exercise until it was gone. That didn’t happen.
